Federal PTI Grant Re-Awarded to FACT Oregon
July 2025
We are thrilled to share that FACT Oregon was recently re-awarded a federal grant as Oregon’s Parent Training and Information Center (PTI) for Special Education by the U.S. Department of Education! This reaffirms the work we do every day to empower families of children and youth with disabilities across our state.
Our new PTI grant begins October 1, 2025, and is contracted for five years. We are deeply grateful to the families and partners who encouraged and supported our application. Your belief in the importance of this work - and in FACT Oregon’s ability to steward this grant – means so much!
However, we are mindful of the changing landscape. For now, PTI funding is secure through September 30, 2026. Beyond that, uncertainty remains regarding federal budget and structural changes. These could impact how this work is funded in the future. As opportunities to advocate arise, we will let you know!
Most importantly, we look forward to continuing to build an Oregon where all people with disabilities can thrive.
In community,
Christy Reese
Executive Director, FACT Oregon
