Working at FACT
FACT Oregon’s impact comes from a connected set of supports—1:1 peer support, training, resource development, leadership development, and advocacy—that help families, youth, and professionals navigate disability-related services, understand key processes, build community capacity, and shape systems. Together, this work advances disability justice and self-determination across Oregon.
At FACT, we are dedicated to empowering families experiencing disability to pursue whole lives in community. We believe disability is natural and uphold values of high expectations, self-determination, and respect for cultural and linguistic diversity.
All staff are expected to:
Represent FACT’s mission, values, and goals with clarity, integrity, and respect.
Use technology and tools to support collaboration and efficient workflow.
Show initiative, be solution-oriented, and respond promptly to families and colleagues.
Work occasional weeknights or weekends to ensure responsive service delivery.
Commitment to Equal Opportunity and Accessibility: FACT believes that the strength of our organization lies in our talented and dedicated staff. We are committed to equal opportunity and comply with all applicable laws. Employment decisions are based on an individual’s qualifications, abilities, and contributions. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified applicants or employees with disabilities.
At-Will Employment: Unless otherwise specified in a formally executed written contract signed by the Executive Director, employment at FACT is voluntary and at-will.
Remote work: FACT is a remote-first organization, so we do not require anyone to be on-site regularly in our Portland administration office. The administrative office is set up if working in that location is preferred. When in-person attendance is necessary, ample notice is provided. We will provide hardware, software, and supplies to perform job duties. Staff are expected to set up their own remote workspace, and to ensure they can access reliable and secure internet.
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, small-group life insurance (for employees at 30+ hours), OregonSaves retirement, paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation time.
