Welcome to FACT Oregon
Empowering Families - Transforming Disability
Are you someone who builds trust, listens well, and enjoys connecting with families and communities? Do you care about disability justice, self-determination, and making information easier for families to access and use? If so, FACT would love to hear from you.
FACT Oregon is hiring two Community Engagement Specialists. These positions will build relationships, strengthen FACT's community presence, and connect families to support in assigned regions within Columbia County, the Columbia Gorge, and eastern Oregon.
The Community Engagement Specialist represents FACT in the community through outreach, relationship-building, family and partner connection, and regional engagement. This role works closely with the Program Manager to develop community engagement plans, participate in local events and meetings, connect families and partners to FACT's support, resources, and trainings, and share community feedback that helps inform FACT's planning and services.
This is a relationship-centered, community-based role for someone who can show up consistently, communicate clearly, follow through, and help families and partners understand how FACT can support them. Regular travel within the assigned region is expected.
FACT Oregon empowers families, youth, and communities to navigate disability systems, advocating together for disability justice and policy change so that people with disabilities have what they need to thrive at home, in school, and in their communities.
We work toward a future in which communities are accessible and inclusive, and where the self-determination of people with disabilities is assured.
