Activate Your Advocacy (AYA): Parent Leadership Training

We’re thrilled to announce two AYA cohorts this spring: one in English and, for the first time, a Spanish-language cohort led by our bilingual program coordinators.

The purpose of Activate Your Advocacy is to train and engage parents and family members who want to advocate for education system changes that improve outcomes for children with disabilities.

Participants in AYA have a wide range of experiences and perspectives and are motivated to help their communities. AYA is not intended for people who want to learn how to advocate for just their own child(ren)

  • English sessions will meet virtually April 1-17 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00-9:00 PM. Please apply by March 1, 2024.

  • Spanish sessions will meet virtually April 29-May 21 on Mondays and Tuesdays from 6:00-8:00 PM. Please apply by March 8, 2024.

  • A stipend of $250 will be sent to participants who complete all sessions in their cohort.

Please apply by March 1, 2024.

April 1-17 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-9 pm

29 de abril al 21 de mayo los lunes y martes de 6:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m.
