FACT Oregon helps thousands of families each year navigate raising a child experiencing disability.

About FACT Oregon

FACT Oregon empowers families, youth, and communities to navigate disability systems, advocating together for disability justice and policy change so that people with disabilities have what they need to thrive at home, in school, and in their communities. FACT Oregon works toward a future in which communities are accessible and inclusive and where the self-determination of people with disabilities is assured.

Peer-delivered services are free for families and include 1:1 support, trainings, resources, parent leadership development, and advocacy. We are Oregon’s statewide Parent Training and Information Center (PTI) for Special Education and a member of the Oregon Consortium of Family Networks, serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

    1-1 Support for Families

As Oregon’s designated statewide Parent Information and Training Center, we offer 1-1 support for families seeking assistance in special education, but that’s not all. We also support families with questions surrounding early childhood, intellectual and developmental disability services, behavior and communication, self-determination and supported decision making, and so much more!

    Trainings and Events

We frequently host trainings across a wide variety of topics, such as an in-depth look at IEPs, the transition to adulthood, supporting behaviors, and more. We even have some of our most popular trainings available on-demand to watch at any time. Check our training calendar to find an event for your family!
