All About ABLE Accounts: Helping People with Disabilities Build Financial Security

  • 2475 SE Ladd Ave. Suite 430 Portland, OR 97214 United States (map)

People with disabilities deserve to be able to save, invest, and spend money to meet their individual goals. Come learn how an Oregon ABLE account can help your child or young adult with a disability build financial security and still keep or access benefits such as SSI, Medicaid, and SNAP.

John Valley, Policy & Outreach Director at Upward Oregon, and Amy Geoffroy, a parent and Director of Communications & Impact at FACT, will talk with families about all things ABLE!

Learn:

  • who qualifies,

  • what to know to open, manage, and access an account,

  • the key advantages and rules,

  • contribution and asset limits that keep benefits protected, and

  • how funds can be used to improve the health, independence, and/or qualify of life for someone with a disability.

This training is in English. Please request interpretation at least 14 days prior. We will do our best to accommodate.
