Financial Empowerment for Youth with Disabilities

This class is full.

This 6-session series helps young people with disabilities learn how to manage and make smart choices about money. This training is for youth with disabilities (14-26) and families. Youth MUST attend.

Tuesdays & Wednesdays: September 17,18, 24, 25 and October 8,9

6:30 - 7:30 PM | Zoom

You will learn:

  • Why it's important for youth to make their own decisions about money.

  • How to set goals, make budgets, and plan smart spending.

  • What bank accounts, digital wallets, and mobile payments are.

  • How to keep your money safe.

  • How borrowing money (credit) works.

  • How having a job can affect SSI/ SSDI benefits.

  • Where to find help with money and benefits through counseling.

Language Services: Training will be provided in English with Spanish interpretation. Please request other language supports at least seven (7) days before the event.
