2026 Special Education Parent Survey

Each year, the Oregon Department of Education requires some school districts and EI/ECSE county programs to conduct a family survey about EI/ECSE and K-12 special education services.

Families in participating districts and EI/ECSE programs will receive a text message with a secure survey link between April 23 and early May.

  • Sample Text message: Oregon Dept. of Ed: Please take your District Parent Survey about special education services [child’s first name] received. Survey link: [survey link]. Survey hosted by DDE.

Families who do not respond by text will get a paper survey and return envelope by early June.

Survey responses are confidential. A summary of all families’ responses will be included in a yearly report. Information from this report is used to help improve special education services.
