The Southern Oregon All Ability Tri4Youth Bike Run was INSPIRING

We had so much fun at the Southern Oregon All Ability Tri4Youth Bike-Run in Ashland on October 1! Over 90 athletes with and without disabilities participated, as well as 50 volunteers. We couldn't have pulled off this first-ever event without our amazing partners Bridging Communities and Ashland Parks & Recreation Commission plus the generous support of sponsors The Standard, OnPoint Community Credit Union, CareOregon, Jackson Care Connect, Becker Capital Management, City of Ashland, Walmart Foundation, Columbia Bank, Palladio Consulting LLC, Rogue Valley YMCA, OHSU UCEDD, MGP 4 Peace, REI Co-Op, Autism Society of Oregon, Rogue Community Health, and the Arc of Jackson County.

Youth with and without disabilities biked 1 mile and ran/walked/strolled 0.5 mile around beautiful Hunter Park. At the finish line, each athlete received a medal and snack. Families got to connect with local organizations, enjoy demonstrations and trials with Ashland Aerial Arts, play lawn games and watch children bounce to their hearts’ content, east yummy shaved ice, and try out all the fun gadgets in their Tri swag bags. It was a day to celebrate!
