Dear FACT Oregon Community, April is Financial Capability Month, and we have exciting opportunities for you and your youth to plan for the future and build money skills. Planning for the future is one of the most important steps a family can take. A living trust with special needs trust brings security and peace of mind, but upfront costs put this legal and financial planning tool out of reach for many families. That’s why we’re so excited to announce a raffle for TWO families to win a living trust and special needs trust package with Fitzwater Law. 100 raffle tickets are available at $100 each. Two people will win this package worth $6,000-6,500. Get your ticket before they are gone! Our busy training and support season continues with the Special Education Conference on 4/4, Breaking Barriers on 4/21, and other partner events. And Money Skills, No Limits runs 4/23 to 5/12, where we help youth 14+ learn to manage money and make SMART money decisions. Each year, the Oregon Department of Education requires selected districts and ESDs to conduct a family survey about special education services. This spring, you may get a secure text message or letter with a survey link from your district. Please take the time to complete the survey.
