Parent to Parent Support & Mentoring Program
As parents of children experiencing disability, have you ever had a day when you wished there was someone who understood what it was like; someone you could talk to about how you feel? Have you wanted parent support from someone who has “been there and done that” so you could benefit from their experience and insight? Welcome to FACT Parent to Parent [P2P]: we can help.
FACT P2P is a mentor program staffed by a group of volunteer parent mentors who have been trained to help support caretakers, whether they are parents, grandparents, siblings, or anyone else who has a family member experiencing disability. We link you with an experienced parent mentor who can provide you positive supports, knowledge, and resources to help you build a brighter future for you and your child. Because the quality of the matched experience depends on a number of factors, Parent to Parent programs ensure matches are made with care. We provide mentoring across a wide variety of disabilities, and because we know parenting doesn’t stop at age 21, we continue to mentor for a person’s lifespan.
