Become a Parent Mentor

Experience is often our greatest teacher, and parents who have made their way a bit further in the journey of raising a child experiencing disability are often a wealth of information, empathetic listeners, and people who enjoy sharing their experiences to support other parents somewhere on a similar journey. Put your experience to use by becoming a FACT P2P mentor parent.

Parent Mentors

FACT recognizes the strengths and knowledge of families and the key role they play in the lives of not only their own family members, but in the lives of other families on a similar journey. FACT P2P is a parent mentor program that supports families connecting with one another in several ways:

FACT Parent to Parent (FACT P2P): This program pairs parents with trained mentors who can provide support, encouragement, and information on ways to advocate for your child and family.

Community Resources: A compilation of statewide resources organized by specific interest, type of support, and disability focus. These groups and organizations have shared with FACT that they promote parent to parent connections.
