Past Projects

Multnomah Parent Action Committee (2002-2008)

As a past project, the Multnomah Parent Action Committee (MPAC) consisted of parents and families of young children who came together to celebrate their children’s successes, glean from the experiences of others, and work together to build a community of parent empowerment and strength.   The services provided by MPAC were planned for parents, by parents.

Packet Project (2006-2009)

In 2006, Family and Community Together (formerly Family Action Coalition Team) received a three-year Community Impact grant from United Way of the Columbia-Willamette to support families of children receiving early intervention/early childhood special education services in family education and empowerment activities.  This was a collaborative effort with the Multnomah Parent Action Committee, Multnomah Early Childhood Program, Oregon Technical Assistance Corporation, The Arc of Multnomah-Clackamas, The Inclusive Childcare Program, and Disability Compass.

Family and Community Together (FACT) is a family leadership coalition working to facilitate positive change in policies, systems and attitudes affecting Oregonians with disabilities or chronic health concerns and their families. More about FACT ...
