Community Activity—Sensory Saturdays at Canby Cinema 8

Canby Cinema 8 located at 252 NE 2nd Ave in Canby will open their doors once a month for children and their families for a Sensory Saturday movie--where the lights will not be turned all the way down and sound will not be turned all the way up, and the kids can walk and/or dance around, with no worry of disturbing the rest of the public. For this month, the day is Saturday, March 20, 2010. Dates vary month by month.

The 8th annual Autism Walk-a-thon will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Oaks Park--7805 SE Oaks Park Way in SE Portland! April is Autism Awarness Month. The short one mile walk around Oaks Park property starts at 10:30am. And afterwards, many people stay to partake in the excitiing rides or take in a picnic at Oaks Park. Autism Society of Oregon (ASO) will have discounted ride bracelets to purchase. Join us to celebrate the many faces and talents of autism!
