Sonya Fischer is the mother of three children: Christine, Joy and Nathan. Christine has Angelman's Syndrome and is 22 years old. Sonya has been instrumental in advocating for intensive in-home supports for children with significant disabilities. She has worked professionally as a developmental disabilities case manager, program development specialist, legislative staffer and lobbyist. She has a Bachelor's Degree from Warner Pacific College, a Master of Public Administration from Portland State University and a Juris Doctor from Lewis & Clark College. She currently has her own law practice in Lake Oswego where she focuses on family, juvenile, and special education law.
