Kathryn Weit

Kathryn Weit is the parent of a 28 year old son with developmental disabilities. She is currently employed by the Oregon Council on Developmental Disabilities. Kathryn has actively worked on behalf of people with disabilities and their families for over twenty-five years, including writing legislation and advocating in the Oregon Legislature for 10 sessions. She has served on numerous Boards of Directors, committees, commissions and workgroups with the Department of Human Services, Department of Education, the Oregon Legislature, The Oregon Parent Training and Information Center, Mainstream Housing, Inc., and FACT.

Kathryn has received awards for her advocacy work from The Arc of Multnomah, The Arc of Oregon, The Oregon Rehabilitation Association, and the Oregon Disabilities Commission.
