Topic: Introduction to Autism for Parents
Description: Parents of children who are in the referral process or recently had an assessment regarding Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or any interested parent, child care provider, or teacher will receive information and have questions answered regarding: ASD facts, the evaluation process, the Individual Family Service Pan (IFSP) and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process, ASD research, intervention strategies, and resources.
Columbia Regional Program collaborates with local school districts in Multnomah, Clackamas, Hood River, and Wasco counties to support students with ASD and other disabilities. Our monthly Saturday meetings are led by licensed ASD Specialists to provide parents and caregivers with an opportunity to connect and to learn about strategies and resources.
Registration: To register, please sign up below. There is no cost for this event. Participants must be registered to attend. Coffee and refreshments are provided, and childcare for children ages 2-12 will be available. Requests for childcare must be indicated when registering for this event. Each event in the series requires a separate online registration via our events calendar.

In the event of inclement weather, the Portland Public Schools schedule will be followed. Late opening or full day closure of weekend activities will postpone the workshop.
